It’s blog hop time again. Welcome one and all. Let me know you’ve visited and I’ll visit you in return.
On to this week’s question:
“If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?”
If I know it’s part of a series I always do. I think that a series is written as a series and should be read as such. I would worry that I wouldn’t understand things in future books without having read the first.
New this week:
Review: Q&A (Slumdog Millionaire)
Review: The Partisan’s Daughter
I feel the same way about series–most times, the author wrote each book with the whole larger story arc in mind, so you can miss a lot if you jump in in the middle of the series. π

I agree — series are written in a certain order, and it makes sense to read them in order. And it’s less confusing (most of the time). π
