It’s that time again

Yes it’s time for the hop again. The book blog hop is a great weekly event which helps bloggers to meet one another hosted over at crazy-for-books.com.

Every week Jennifer asks a question this week she’s asking about our favourite newly discovered authors.

For me it’s Jane Austen. Not exactly a new author but I read my first book by her just 3 weeks ago and enjoyed it much more than I expected to and can’t wait for her next one (as in her next one I read…I’m not expecting anything actually new from her!).

Read my review of Northanger Abbey.

  1. Hi, stopping by through the hop! Austen is one of my all-time favorites, and Northanger Abbey one of my favorites of hers πŸ™‚ Since you’re just getting into Jane Austen I’d recommend Pride and Prejudice as a next step – it’s a little shorter and less dense than some of her others, lol.

  4. Happy Hop Day! Austen is wonderful. It’s been SO long since I’ve read her though. I think a few I only watched the movies and never moved on to the books. I should probably do a re-read at some point! πŸ™‚

  7. Hi, stopping in from the blog hop. I have always loved Jane Austen. It’s also nice to see someone else doing some of the books and authors of the past. I’ve signed up for your email subscription.

Hope you’ll come by and see what I’ve got going on too!

  8. Visiting from the Hop. I love Jane Austen, I’m glad you’ve discovered her. Emma is my favorite although a lot of people love Persuasion and of course Pride and Prejudice. I love Emma because it was my first Austen read and I think the main character is really different from her others.

With Pride and Prejudice I’m worried I have too high expectations because it seems to be the one everyone loves and I really like the BBC film (and the more recent one is good too). I’m concerned it won’t reach up to them and that’s kind of putting me off choosing that one.
